The purpose of the Swiss FinTech Awards is to promote Swiss fintech innovators and to contribute to the strong Swiss fintech ecosystem. The Awards recognize outstanding fintech start-ups and fintech influencers. The winners are chosen by a renowned jury consisting of 20 fintech experts. This year’s winners are Pelt8, NetGuardians and SICTIC.

However, SICTIC not only makes investments in start-ups but also organizes important networking platforms for start-ups throughout Switzerland like the Fintech Investor Days. The top 5 candidates of the categories «Early Stage Start-up of the Year» and «Growth Stage Start-up of the Year» will be announced.
Accenture’s Boot Camp for top 5 start-ups of the categories «Early Stage Start-up of the Year» and «Growth Stage Start-up of the Year» takes place. At the Boot Camp, start-ups benefit from free coaching from various experienced advisors and fintech entrepreneurs. Furthermore, start-ups prepare the speed dating event where they meet all the jury members.
Pitching event for top 5 start-ups of the categories «Early Stage Start-up of the Year» and «Growth Stage Start-up of the Year» with all jury members and members of the awards supporters club takes place. Start-ups meet important decision makers and influencers from the finance and fintech industry. At this event, start-ups pitch to the audience and expand their network.
The awards finalists will be announced. The finalists can pitch at the leading fintech conference «FinTech 2023» by Finanz und Wirtschaft Forum.

Thomas holds a Master’s degree from the University of St. Gallen and a PhD from the University of Lausanne. He founded several companies and has broad experience as CEO and board member of various companies in the financial industry. He is currently engaged in FinTech and Asset Management research at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
Dr. August Benz ist Leiter des Geschäftsbereichs Private Banking und Asset Management und stv. CEO der SBVg. Zu seinem Verantwortungsbereich gehören zudem die Themen Digitalisierung, Sustainable Finance und Europa. Er verfügt über ausgewiesene Praxiserfahrung im Bankengeschäft und ist mit den verschiedenen Aspekten der Finanzmarktregulierung vertraut.
Krzysztof identifies investments in new areas of growth including FinTech, InsurTech, Blockchain & more. He is a 20-year veteran of digital innovation, passionate about breakthrough technologies, disruptive business models and ventures embracing both of those.
Before joining the TX Group, Krzysztof worked at Swisscom in the Strategy & Innovation team building ventures from scratch and fostering growth in areas such as Internet of Things, Big Data, Communication & Collaboration, Cloud Services & many others. Prior to this, Krzysztof held leading business roles at Orange Group developing TV & Video streaming and Mobile platforms. Krzysztof holds Master of Business Administration from IMD in Lausanne, and double Master of Engineering in Telecommunications from IMT Atlantique in France and from Gdansk University of Technology in Poland.
Javier serves as Investment Manager at PostFinance AG - Corporate Venture Capital, responsible investing in start-ups, mainly in Fintech and related fields, and representing PostFinance as investor in its portfolio companies. Before joining PostFinance, Javier was a Managing Director at Gategroup where he led a region following his role as Director leading its global M&A - Corporate Development activities. Prior to this role, Javier acted as a Vice President at Credit Suisse; first working for its global Group M&A - Corporate Development department, and later for its Private Banking division in a Business Development capacity. Javier started his career at the Transaction Advisory of Ernst & Young in Germany. He is a CFA Charterholder since 2008, holds a Masters Degree from the Universität Erlangen Nürnberg and a Bachelor Degree from Universidad EAFIT.
Aleks started her career on the Goldman Sachs trading floor in London. She went on to co-found a mobile payments platform followed by a stint in VC and as an angel investor. Since then, she has built the enterprise division for Improbable, supporting the business in its $600m fundraise and hypergrowth from 20 to 400 employees. Before joining Redalpine, she set up US operations for a Swiss multi-million dollar robotics software company.
Markus J. Locher is the Head of CSX Digital Banking and a Managing Director at Credit Suisse. CSX is Credit Suisse\'s fast growing digital banking franchise in Switzerland that was launched in 2020. Prior to his current role, Markus J. Locher was the COO of the Digitalization & Products Business Area from 2018 to 2020. He held various leadership positions in strategy functions, including heading the Strategy & Projects department for the Swiss Universal Bank from 2015 to 2018 or leading the Divisional Projects unit for the global Private Banking & Wealth Management division from 2013 to 2015. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2010, Markus J. Locher spent eight years as a Principal with The Boston Consulting Group in Zurich and Bangkok. He was a leader in the Financial Institutions practice and consulted for banks globally. Markus J. Locher holds a Master\'s degree in Business Administration from the University of Zurich and also studied in the MBA program at The Ohio State University. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, where he completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP).
Matthias Niklowitz, studierte nach Informatik- und Bankausbildungen Sozial-, Umwelt- und Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Universität Zürich und arbeitete etliche Jahre als Wirtschaftsjournalist, als Kommunikationsfachmann im globalen Investmentbanking und als Buy-Side-Analyst. Seit 2014 arbeitet er als Technologie-Analyst bei der Swisscom-Tochter e-Foresight sowie als Reporter.
André Renfer, Bereichsleiter Services und Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung der Hypothekarbank Lenzburg AG. Er ist verantwortlich für die Serviceerbringung im Beriech Zahlen, Anlegen, Finanzieren und Service-Center für die eigene Bank, fürFinstar Drittbanken sowie Embedded Finance Services für Partnerfirmen. Als Board Member von Swiss Fintech Innovations (SFTI) beschäftigt er sich ausführlich mit neuen Trends, Technologien und Produkten.
Alexander Trentin ist Redaktor im Ressort Märkte der «Finanz und Wirtschaft». Er schreibt dort über
Themen im Bereich Anlagestrategie, Finanzmärkte und Volkswirtschaft. Vor seiner Zeit bei der FuW
arbeitete er als Risikoanalyst bei der Bank für Internationalen Zahlungsausgleich in Basel. Er hat
Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Mannheim in Deutschland und an der Chulalongkorn
University in Bangkok (Thailand) studiert. Alexander Trentin absolvierte Weiterbildungen zum
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) und zum Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
